Formerly named Lynnhill Condominiums, Verona at Naylor Metro is located in Prince George’s County, Maryland. It occupies 260,000 square feet and 219 units and common areas. It underwent renovation and rebranding that cost $18.5 million and took two years.
The building required external and internal updates and repairs. First, workers fixed the brick and masonry and installed new energy-efficient windows and balcony doors. Then, they removed asbestos and lead paint from the interior.
After the crew declared the building safe, they stripped the preexisting copper wiring, replacing it with modern backup generators, electrical panels, and a new transformer. Installing a new fire pump room, sprinklers, and smoke and carbon monoxide detectors complied with fire codes.
Lastly, demolition of the preexisting apartment interiors occurred. New designs included waterproof vinyl flooring, granite countertops, and PVC Venetian blinds. Heightened functionality derived from stainless steel hardware, high-efficiency LED light fixtures, and updated life-safety features.
